Have Questions?

How long will the surgery take?

Average cosmetic surgeries take roughly 90minutes- 2hours for our regular procedures (Hairline Lowering, Brow Lift, Lip Lift). Combining multiple procedures or more technical procedures (Facelifts specifically) will take a greater length of time (3.5-8 hours).

What are the risks of the surgery and the anaesthesia?

As with any surgery, there are always risks due to the complexity of the procedures. We make comprehensive preparations in order to reduce these risks to an absolute minimum, however one of the main risks is that they may not achieve the result your child was expecting. In order to address this, we have both a video consultation and face-to-face appointment before the surgery in order to set the correct expectations for the procedure.

How does Halo Surgery work?

We make an incision close to your hairline and then we reduce the forehead size by moving the hairline forward—there’s a little more to it than that, however it’s technical and it’s much more fun to explain during a consultation, as we can show you exactly how it works.

What type of post-surgery care will they need afterward?

After their surgery the biggest contributor to their recovery is rest, alongside this we will also provide them with a personalised recovery kit that will contain the pain relief and other pieces that your child will require for a smooth and swift recovery.

How will their pain be managed?

You’re under sedation during the surgery, so you’re not going to feel any pain or discomfort. During the healing process, many patients compare the sensation to a dull-ache that’s quite itchy. During recovery we provide you with aftercare medications which also include painkillers, however many people choose not to take these as discomfort is mild.

What limitations will they have after surgery and for how long?

While there are no real physical limitations to our procedures. We highly recommend that your child rest with their head raised and avoid exercising for 2 weeks post-procedure and avoiding more strenuous activities such as weight lifting, swimming, HIIT, etc for at least 6 weeks after surgery.

When can they eat and drink after surgery?

Food and drink can be consumed pretty much immediately after surgery and it’s highly recommended that your child at least consumes fluids as they will likely be thirsty after their procedure.

When will they be fully recovered?

Everyone’s recovery journey is unique, but we’ve found that most patients have fully recovered somewhere between 6-8 weeks after their procedure. Following our recovery guidelines will only assist in speeding up the recovery process and allowing your child to return to their everyday activities.
